Friendly staff, great customer service and selections. I've tried several different things in this store but the thing that keeps bringing me back is the chicken salad. In my humble opinion it's the best in Richmond.

Came in for lunch 2 days in a row. First day I had the corned beef and pastrami and it was excellent. Day 2 I had the BLT. My only complaint was the bacon was thinly sliced and barely tasted as part of the sandwich.

Total rip off. I ordered a ham for Thanksgiving 2018. I was told 2-3 day shipping. After a week, i called to find out where my order was. In the year 2018, padows has no was to track your order. Not only that, they have no communication between each store. So beware if you decide to order from this company. If i had more hands id give the them 5 thumbs down.

Oh my god, I'm in love. I have eaten here no less than 5 times in the past two weeks. It's becoming an addiction. Their lunch special is great - a sammich, two sides and a drink for $6! You can't beat that. Get the potato salad - DO IT! You wont regret it. Their chicken salad is my favorite in the area - not chunky and always good.

I so wanted to love this place, and you certainly get a friendly greeting and service, but for a place that allegedly prides itself as a purveyor of old timey ham and bacon --- and being an old timey deli--- I was quite disappointed. The Classic Club that another reviewer raved about was full of the cheapest and thinnest-sliced deli meats and cheese. If it had bacon on it, let alone the country bacon that Padow's boasts about, it was undetectable; I think they merely waved a package of bacon over the sandwich. The ham was, again, not even a thin slice of their country ham, but some ghastly pressed meat product. Unfortunately, to top off this lame sandwich, I grabbed a "Blueberry Root Beer" soda from Maine. I thought the soda company's name was "Blueberry." No, it was indeed blueberry-flavored root beer and it was awful. I poured it out on the ground.
I also bought a package of their country bacon, pricey, at $9.99 each. I love country bacon and ham, but this was just a salt bomb, with no smokiness to it.
Sorry, Padow's. You're not a good deli, and ditch the bacon and probably the ham, too.
